Honoring Grief through Art, Rest and Movement

Our Vision

We envision a world where grief is witnessed with compassion, patience, and an understanding that the path toward healing is a uniquely individual experience.

Our Mission

Through art, rest, and movement, we nurture the continuing cycles of healing for those in relationship with grief. We value safety, solace, and the sacred mess of the grieving process.

Who we are

We are the family of Austin Reese McDougal.

Austin was a painter, a runner, a believer in magic and a chaser of waterfalls. We are the caretakers of his legacy. Through our own grief, we have established this foundation and are committed to holding space for anyone else grieving a loss of any kind.

“As that I can see, there’s no way out but through.”

~Robert Frost

We are so grateful for your donation

The ARM Foundation is a non-profit (501c3) organization with a mission to provide space and healing for grief through art, rest and movement. Our family is living proof that these 3 pillars (Art, Rest, Movement) are the foundation of living with grief and healing from the trauma of loss. We are committed to providing these same opportunities in a safe, inclusive environment, to anyone navigating the grieving process. Your tax deductible donation is very much appreciated in our work.
